KINDERMUSIK VILLAGE
This class incorporates the most current research on early childhood development and provides families a special place for learning and connecting with other parents and babies through music and movement. A unique blend of multi-level activities that includes creative movement, vocal play, object and instrument exploration, as well as a colorful literature component, will stimulate your baby’s growth and development as
all of his senses are engaged.
Ages: Newborn to 18 months with a parent or caregiver
Wednesday 11:30 – 12:15 ($395/15 weeks)
KINDERMUSIK SIGN AND SING
A different approach from other sign language programs. Through songs, toys, and loving playtime between you and your child, Kindermusik Sign & Sing shows you more than 50 signs your child can use to communicate with you. You'll easily substitute American Sign Language (ASL) signs in familiar songs, improving your child's language skills, fine motor skills, and strengthen fingers for zipping zippers and using scissors.
Ages: 6 months to 2 years with a parent or caregiver Wednesday 9:30 – 10:15 ($395/15 weeks)
KINDERMUSIK OUR TIME
As the leading music program for this age group, Our Time classes balance movement, singing, chanting, listening and playing simple instruments in a secure, loving environment with their “grown-up” close at hand. Children develop pitch, rhythm, and listening skills while learning songs and chants and enjoying a movement and music storytime.
Ages: 18 months to 31/2 years with a parent or caregiver
Wednesday 10:30 – 11:15, Thursday 6 – 6:45 ($395/15 weeks)
KINDERMUSIK IMAGINE THAT
Designed for active, enthusiastic, and imaginative 3 & 4 year olds, this class encourages vocal development, nurtures a child’s ability to think musically, gives children the opportunity to explore sound with
instruments, and encourages creativity and individuality. Pretend play activities are integrated with music, storytelling, movement and literature to capture your child’s immense potential to learn in these
crucial preschool years.
Ages: 31/2 to 5 with a parent or caregiver
Wednesday 12:30 – 1:15, Thursday 5 – 5:45 ($395/15 weeks)
KINDERMUSIK FOR THE YOUNG CHILD
Kindermusik for the Young Child provides a pressure-free, developmentally
appropriate transition to musically succeed before taking on more formal
instruction. This class provides the opportunity to explore voice
development, rhythm, notation, musical symbols and authentic pre-keyboard,
string and woodwind instruments. Young Child broadens and deepens the child’s
introduction to the fulfillment and excitement of musicianship.
Ages: 5 & 6
Tuesday 4:00 – 5:00 ($395/15 weeks)
KINDERMUSIK FAMILY TIME
A curriculum for families with more than one child - ages newborn and
up. Each week you’ll discover how music helps your family laugh together,
share and take turns….all in the hands of a trained expert – a licensed
Kindermusik Educator – who takes you through this multi-age, multi-child
class, where you’ll find musical and developmental learning in a fun,
family environment!
Ages: infant and up with parent or caregiver. Single child families are also welcome!
Tuesdays – 5:15 – 6:00 ($280/10 weeks/per family) Beginning Sept. 20.
Home Materials are provided with enrollment in each class; CDs, literature, instrument, parents guide.

Tuition may be divided into payments. If space is available, you may register any time during the semester and be prorated for missed classes.
Amy Alley is Kindermusik educator at Vanderbilt's Blair School of Music. She has twenty years of teaching experience and her Kindermusik program at Vanderbilt has achieved Maestro status – rated among the top 5% in the U.S. Amy is a writer of the Kindermusik University Fundamentals Course for educator training and is also on Kindermusik International’s Peer Licensing Board. She represents Kindermusik’s ABC Music and Me program as account manager for the state of TN. Amy teaches music part-time in Metro Nashville Schools and also teaches Graduate Level Music Ed. Classes at Vanderbilt. She resides in Hermitage and is the mother of three daughters.
