About The Sheherazade Trio

The women of the Sheherazade Trio, named for the courageous woman who told 1,001 beguiling and evocative tales to save her own life, are all faculty members at the Ithaca College School of Music who first performed together in 2006. Susan Waterbury (violin), Elizabeth Simkin (cello) and Jennifer Hayghe (piano) were trained at the major conservatories and schools of music in the United States by the top teachers of their instruments. The three musicians have extensive chamber music experience, performing at major concert halls throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and Central America. They have also coached and performed chamber music at dozens of summer festivals and universities throughout the U.S. and abroad. Their Blair performance will include piano trios by Marc Mellits, Franz Liszt, Sally Lamb, Frank Bridge, and John Ireland.
