For the second year in a row, Cheekwood’s annual Cheekwood in Bloom spring celebration will include a special Drawing Room Concert Series featuring Blair School of Music musicians.
The last two Sundays in March and every Sunday in April, from 2-3 p.m., a different Blair musician or ensemble will perform an hourlong concert in Cheekwood’s intimate drawing room, inside the mansion. The concerts are free with paid Cheekwood admission.
Performers this year include:
March 24: Blair Chamber Choir, with Tucker Biddlecombe, director, and Polly Brecht, piano
March 31: Gayle Shay, mezzo-soprano, and Jennifer McGuire, piano
April 7: Jared Hauser, oboe, with Ben Harris, piano, and the Atlantic Ensemble
April 14: Jessica Blackwell, violin
April 21: Kazuki Takizawa and June Kim, piano
April 28: Lauren Coplan, piano
