Pianist Florence Millet in residence Feb. 7 and 9

Pianist Florence Millet, a founding member of the acclaimed Lion’s Gate Trio and a prize-winning soloist, conducts a residency at Blair this week, leading master classes in solo piano and chamber music performance. She caps the residency with a concert performance of works by Federico Mompou, Leoš Janáček, Ludwig van Beethoven, Alexander Scriabin, contemporary French composer François Nicolas, and Claude Debussy.

A native of France, Millet studied at the Paris Conservatory and SUNY Stony Brook. She is a professor of piano and chamber music at the Hochschule for Music and Dance in Cologne/Wuppertal, Germany.
