The Blair Big Band closes its concert season with Grammy-winning saxophonist Jeff Coffin. Coffin is an internationally recognized saxophonist, bandleader, composer and educator, a member of the Dave Matthews Band and former member of Béla Fleck & the Flecktones. The second half of the concert introduces the Nashville Jazz Composers Collective in its first public performance. The NJCC includes more than 30 all-star jazz musicians, focusing on original compositions, improvisation and community-based music education. Influenced by diverse musical backgrounds, open minds and a passion for great music, the NJCC represents a new generation of music and musicians in Music City.
Tickets: $20 adults; $15 seniors (65+) and Vanderbilt faculty and staff; free for students with ID. Tickets available at the door.
