Blair's nurturing and supportive environment provided the opportunities to figure out my technical hang-ups that allowed me to be my best musical self."
As a Blair student, I was encouraged by the incredible faculty, staff, and fellow students to be creative, to be fearless in my musical experimentation, and to discover my own voice.
I would not be the musician, teacher, composer, or scholar I am without Blair’s faculty. They shaped how I make music, and how I think about music, in ways I draw on daily.
The Blair School was a magical place to grow as a musician and thinker. I’m so grateful for my time at Vanderbilt — for lifelong friends and incredible mentors.
From my pre-college time through graduation, Blair was an incredible part of my education and development. The faculty and staff were great and helping you learn and grow in your musical journey, but they also inspired and challenged you to become better - every single day. I have enjoyed seeing both Blair, and Vanderbilt, grow over the years into such a well-known and regarded place of higher learning.
Since Blair is only undergraduates, you get the full attention of the faculty from day 1— in your lessons, in classes, and in ensemble opportunities you wouldn't get anywhere else.
