Amy Alley

Adjunct Artist Teacher of Kindermusik

Amy Alley inaugurated the Kindermusik program at Blair Academy in 2001. Since then, it has become a thriving, nationally recognized “Top Program” by Kindermusik International, and the Nashville Scene has recognized Kindermusik at Blair as “Best Music Program for Children” in its annual “Best of Nashville” awards.

Alley was a writer of the Kindermusik University Fundamentals Course in 2000, and is active in the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Locally, Alley is a music specialist at Granbery Elementary School in Brentwood, and was awarded Metro Nashville Teacher of the Year in 2000. The Nashville Entertainment Association awarded her Outstanding Elementary Music Program in 1995. 

Alley is a member of the National Association for Music Education and is a collegiate advisor at Blair. She is part of the Music Education faculty, teaching Methods and Materials in General Music. 

Alley was a piano student of Allison Nelson and taught piano at Tarkio College from 1985-88.  She is currently pianist/organist at Hermitage Presbyterian Church.
