Emily Clark

Assistant Director of Blair Children's Choruses; Adjunct Artist Teacher of Chorus

Emily Clark, Assistant Director of the Blair Children's Chorus, is a veteran music teacher. She began her singing career at the Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, Fla. While there, she focused her training in piano and vocal/choral music.

Clark attended the University of Florida, where she received a Bachelor's Degree of Music Education, and holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the Florida State University. Her primary teachers and mentors include James Morrow, André Thomas, Clifford Madsen, and Judy Bowers.

Clark has taught music at all grade levels, and choirs under her direction have given distinguished performances at community, district, and state events. She lives in Franklin, Tenn., with her husband, Robert Clark, Assistant Professor of Instrumental Music Education at Vanderbilt, and their two children, Henry and Nora.
