To explore the ability of choral music to effect change and empower individuals with respect to issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the larger context of social justice.
Lecture presentation on the topic of social justice through song. This could include a demonstration choir (composed of members of various Vanderbilt choirs: University Singers, Chorale, Concert Choir, etc.) singing excerpts from the Justice Choir Songbook, which he co-authored.
Workshop with the various VU choirs (mentioned above).
Private/small group meetings with choral professionals in the greater Nashville community to provide guidance and support for how their respective choirs may better advance the cause of social justice through song.
