Master class with oboist ToniMarie Marchioni, Nov. 11

Oboist ToniMarie Marchioni, assistant professor of oboe at the University of Kentucky, conducts a master class with Blair’s oboe students from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, in Choral Hall.

Marchioni has performed in Europe, South America, Asia, and throughout the United States. Appointed to the University of Kentucky in 2013, she is a member of the IRIS Orchestra (Memphis, Tenn.) and Decoda (New York) as well as a recent alumna of The Academy/Ensemble ACJW, a groundbreaking new initiative combining chamber music performance, arts advocacy, leadership, and teaching artistry. She holds a B.A. from Harvard University and M.Mus. and D.M.A. from Juilliard.

Participation in the class is limited to Blair students by audition, but the public is welcome to attend.
