Pascal Le Boeuf is first composer-in-residence with Missoula Symphony

The Missoula Symphony Orchestra premiered Pascal Le Boeuf’s “Triple Concerto for Violin, Percussion Duo and Orchestra” March 4-5, at the Dennison Theatre, featuring solosits Tim Fain (violin) and Arx Duo (percussionists Garrey Arney and Chris Whyte). Le Boeuf, who is serving as the Missoula Symphony’s first-ever composer-in-residence, describes his Triple Concerto as “about new beginnings, adapting to change, and creating stability in a chaotic environment. It is inspired by the many musicians who must balance parenthood and artistic fulfillment.”

The Missoula Symphony is one of three orchestras joining in the rolling premiere for the new piece.
